About

Marsha Nelson

Lives & works in Alberta, Canada

From an early age Marsha was drawn to a number of creative pursuits…art, drama, and writing. In her high school and university time as many electives as possible went towards those subjects. At the end of this schooling, however, these pursuits quickly dropped off as the call of real life clamoured.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Management in Human Resources and later a Diploma in Accounting she found work in the financial field and moved to Calgary and later Rocky View County. She still resides there with her husband and daughter.

For Marsha art was something she’d get back to one day. A few years ago she got word of a few people looking to start an art group in town and decided to give it a try. So after a number of years away from paint and brush she picked them up again in 2012 and has been painting ever since. As of 2015, Marsha has also taught children’s art classes.

Marsha has been a member of the LFA group and the Wheatland Society of Arts. Predominantly her work is acrylic on canvas and covers an eclectic range of subject matter. She is also a fervent believer in the healing power of art and desires to see that message reach the masses.
